About us

The Flow Forward Project began with a simple idea: no girl should miss school because of her period. What started as an effort to bring menstrual health education to one rural school has grown into a wider movement for education, dignity, and access.

Since launching, we’ve reached over 1,800 students across nine villages in Telangana, India, including Dubbaka, Ramayampet, and nearby Zilla Parishad schools, through interactive workshops on menstruation, reproductive health, and personal safety. We’ve distributed sanitary pads and partnered with local vendors to make pads accessible. We are now preparing to install pad vending machines in schools to create long-lasting solutions.

  • Education

We lead interactive workshops in schools that teach students the science behind menstruation, personal hygiene, and body literacy in order to de-stigmitize menstruation. These sessions create safe spaces for young girls to ask questions, learn about their health, and gain confidence.

  • Access

We distribute locally sourced pads and are working to install pad vending dispensers in schools, making products consistently and discreetly available. We believe that no girl should miss class because she doesn’t have what she needs.

  • Advocacy

We work to shift cultural narratives around menstruation. By talking openly about periods, puberty, and overlooked health conditions, we’re helping girls advocate for their bodies and futures. We are working to introduce early screening for conditions like PCOS and endometriosis, which are often misunderstood or overlooked.
